Sissy Caption - Idol

I've always liked the idea that we don't know what's lurking beneath the surface.  The person we all present to the outside world is so rarely who we really are, and it's such an interesting conflict when people try to reconcile the image they want to be true with reality.

  1. Nikki, fantastic caption, and very inspiring thereby. To have an idol is quite dangerous, especially when not knowing about all of his secrets. And who can claim to know all details about the one one calls an idol - I think no-one can do so. It might be a role one is attracted to, trying to orient at it. But a person, materializing such role, is dangerous - just as such person might have different ideas about life, which are all valid though not matching the role one once might have ascribed to him. Happiness of oneself is so much more important - even as it might mean to destroy the vision or dream another one might have about one. And the latter might even make it hard to really give in to one's desires and truly be happy, being aware to destroy so many other's dreams. But every human being should be happy, and not forced to live other human's dreams on one's expend. At the end, there is the risk that no-one is happy: the persons idolizing a person, as they will never reach their status, and the so-called idol himself, as he just feels to be forced to live a lie.
