I love the framing of the caption, how it hints to the image without directly referring to it. Both prose and photo fit together wonderfully - one could not be as effective without the other.
Thanks - this wasn't the original intention of the caption. When I was modifying the photo, I wanted to make a 40s-50s style advertisement with just a catch phrase (It was going to be "Every Woman Wants a Happy Little Homemaker"). However, when I finished it, and was starting to frame it, I realized that extending the background was proving far too time-consuming. So I chose to create a traditional caption instead. I think it turned out pretty well, and I still like the modification quite a bit. Thanks for the compliment, and I hope you continue to enjoy my work.
I am agree with your statements. ;)
We're suckers for the gender role reversal captions, huh?
O-M-G.....I would SO LOVE to have a woman that would desire to have me be the housewife, so that I can take care of her EVERY NEED, and cherish the ground she walks on. *dreaming*LOVE the Cap, Nikki *hugs*
Ah - if only that dream can spread to the rest of the masculine world, we'd all be set, right?
So sweet, so romantic. Love it.
Thanks - I really enjoyed writing this caption.
Oh Nikki... what a perfect social evolution of the proper roles of the sexes this portrays. Sure the male shall have to surrender his pride - but why in the world should a male have any anyway!!!
It's actually one of my favorites. I don't know - there's something almost poetic about it.
Hadn't remembered noting this months back.Agreed! Nikki, this caption does have much 'poetic' about it both in mood and in a sense of justice *wink*. Strangely, both seem to be fulfilled more each day as history unfolds, for as the Female as 'Slumbering Tigress' awakes more each day seeking to conquer both the world and the male, the male discovers the only thing he may in the days to come he may be allowed to conquer - shall be Woman's Heart. And this caption beautifully seems to say he'll have to do it in a lovingly submissive and, yes, ultimately in a 'feminine' manner.
Oops, wax on way too much, but just noted one more delightful aspect this caption. The pose of darling 'little male homemaker' with both right hand and left high-heeled foot on the range tells us he is 'one hand and foot' in service to the needs of the Female.Perhaps that's an overreach, yet...
