Today, I released a brand new caption story called "Student Engagement". It follows an idealistic, well-meaning guidance counselor as he slowly transforms into a female student, and it features Alex Blake.
This story came about a little differently than most of my work. Usually, I write in one of two ways. Either I come up with the whole thing, or the story is a commission (with varying degrees of customer involvement). But like I said, this one was a little different in that it came from my correspondence with a fellow writer (in this genre), Courtney Captisa.
Originally, she emailed me about a collaboration, but we got to talking about what we had planned for our respective futures, and she told me about an interesting take on a magical transformation - a high school teacher becoming a female student. Almost immediately, I started outlining how I would write the story in my head, and with her permission (it was her idea, after all), I decided to slot it into my schedule. It took me a while to find a proper place for it, but this story is the result.
So, I feel obligated to point out that this story was inspired by Courtney Captisa, who was a creative consultant throughout the process of writing it. If you'd like to check out her work, she's a great writer. You can find it at:
Courtney Captisa's Amazon Author Page
I particularly liked the story, "Go Figure", if you guys want a suggestion for where to start on her books.
